4:08PM - Introductions (What are you afraid of?): Eric, Christie, Rebecca, Melissa, Alexandra, Greg, Katherine, Maureen, Gordon, Daniele, Samantha, Emma, Julio, Bailey, Sam, Kyle, and Jim.4:14PM - Daniele Gave a report on club leader attendance at GSC meeting. If there is not a member of your e-board at more then two meeting a semester your club will lose 10% of it’s funding for nest semester, so it’s really important all club leaders come to meetings! So far a delegate from GSC, Gallatone, Consciousness, and gPhoto has attended every meeting. SOCA, Coloring Club, GUJ, and Icarus have only missed one meeting: October 20th. GTT has missed two meetings: October 20th and November 3rd. DCA has missed three meetings: October 6th, October 20th, and November 3rd. There has not been a delegate from JGA at any of the GSC meetings.

4:17PM – Alexandra introduced the co-sponsorship proposal submitted Ski and Snowboard Club. Kyle and Jim, their representatives, talked to us about the Chill organizations and the snowboarding opportunities they provide to inner city youth. They’re putting on a concert to raise money for the Chill organization. Those in attendance voted to give Ski and Snowboard club money, but we voted on $200 to contribute, but encouraged them to come back later for more money if necessary.

4:49PM – Sam talked about the upcoming Town Hall: How Gallatin Works! on November 10, 2006. Club Leaders please publicize this to your clubs!!

4:51PM – Bailey’s Senate Report: 1) Homecoming WHAT DATE? 7-9pm at the Rosenthal Pavilion (FREE FOOD!) 2) House of Delegates Elections coming up. 3) Commencement will probably be in the park. 4) Public Safety – if you have any issues about public safety email Bailey at bailey@nyu.edu or if you’d prefer not to share your name, drop a note in the GSC box outside RM 516. 4) Sustainability Task Force – 4 of the 12 representatives are from Gallatin, woot! For next meeting be prepared to talk about JAG/Solomon issues with being on campus and emerging national higher education issues in general.

5:01PM – Samantha Shapses’ Student Life Report: 1) January 21, 2007 will be the club life winter retreat to put together a spring event schedule. 2) Coffeehouse: Is it time to start thinking about fascism? On November 6, 2006 in Kimball Lounge, 246 Mercer from 6-8PM. 3) There is a new calendar for November up in the student lounge. 4) Use the student life grant for contingency funding! The last thing we want to see are clubs leaving to go All-U because of a lack of funding.

5:08PM – Sam: There will be outreach tables the Monday and Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and Maureen, Communications Director, and Eric Lewis, Junior Class Representative, are leaving for the spring, so were requesting nominations. Please email us swg214@nyu.edu.

5:11PM – Julio made an announcement about Winter Chill on December 14th, reading day, and spaces available. Club leaders should email Julio at lga235@nyu.edu about ideas and booking space.

5:21PM – Announcements: 1) Concentration Connections Workshop: speed dating for student interested in academic subjects. 2) Interactive Tutorial about Photoshop and other such computer stuff perhaps coming. 3) Coca-Cola ban is being upheld for now. 4) Gallatone had 80!! Submissions. 5) Check Eric’s new internet baby nyulisting.com. 6) Don’t forget Dinner and A Movie every Friday from 7-9PM. This week Amores Perros, next week, Pleasantville.
