- Anson: What’s the new deal with Albert? It doesn’t say how many spots are left in a class. Bailey: Will bring up the issue to UCSL and the Academic Affairs Committee. The reason for the change had to do with faculty not wanting classes to be judged, nor their reputations to be hinged on how many people signed up/how many open spots they still had. It seems as if the larger problem is that people can’t see how many spots there are to begin with in a class, and students need to know whether or not a class is a lecture, workshop, seminar, small group, etc. We can maybe compromise by asking that an additional data field be added to Albert that tells students the total number of spots available in a course.
- Brad: Could we have course evaluations more like CAS? Daniele: This has been a big issue for us this year and we’re working with gPAC and planning events so students can have their own forum for talking about classes. Sam: Syllabi are now available in the gPAC office. There’s a concentration/talk about courses event coming up March 2nd in Kimmel. Emma: could we integrate tutorials into that, so students can find other students interested in what they’re interested in.
5:19PM – Daniele ask students to think about a color, theme and slogan for All-U Games this year. Email her your ideas at day214@nyu.edu
