Academic Affairs committee – will take up Abu Dhabi fair labor practices at NYU branch campuses – will takethis up for a vote on Oct. 30^th , brought to University later. Trying to cast as wide a net as possible. Request that NYU takes a stance –
Study abroad sites are self-sustaining business entitites, we only have limited leverage.
eVita – does this serve a need – should try to cut this from the bottom. Establish a better use of our funds. Julio is a thorn.
We moved up the IAPC, Gallatin now has a partnership with the Environmental studies department, and Gallatin would like to establish a minor-program.

Curation subcommittee for putting art in Gallatin established – gPhoto recommended as a person that could help it out.
Student mentoring – for pre-Law and entrepenuership – students connect with outside Gallatin for career advice, connect with information knowledge
Web design focus group – not a committee – tell Danielle IE and
Constitution committee – run more or less by Anson.
Gallatin Greening committee – dean forming this, faculty and Julio will get together and encourage this to grow
Gallatin Student and Faculty resource fund – apply to get funding to do things that foster community – trip to Washington, w/in the city, etc.

Budget allocation – being done, will be finished by next week thanks to varsha, sam and other folks.
Class Reps – Junior rep. But we need other people – get a budget to plan ane vent during the semester for your class.

Hey everyone! Gallatin Student Council and Class Representative elections are happening THIS WEEK, from Wednesday the 16th to Friday the 18th. Just go to NYUHome, click on the “NYU Life” tab, and scroll down until you see the box for GSC elections! Be sure to cast your vote…think of it as practice for November!!
If you’re running for a position on the Gallatin Student Council, you’ll need this form. Pass it around your Gallatin classes, and collect 30 signatures. Turn into the GSC mailbox on the 5th floor of the Gallatin Building by April 14th your signature form, platform, (and optional photograph). Voting is from April 16th to 18th.
Check Out our new link from nyu.edu/gallatin. This is very exciting! Now our website is linked with the other Gallatin website. Now more and more people can view our site. If you have any ideas as to how to increase traffic to our website let us know using speak up.
If anyone has any ideas on how to revamp the website or our GSC meetings let us know. We are trying to revamp everything GSC does to make it more appealing for you guys. Talk to us!

Come out to the first GSC meeting of the semester! It’s on Friday, February 8th in room 527 in the Gallatin building (715 Broadway) from 5-6PM! Come meet the E-board members and ask us anything you want to know. Let your voice be heard!!!! THERE. WILL. BE. FREE. FOOD.
Attention all Gallatin club leaders:
The winter retreat will take place on January 26th, from 10AM to 6PM. There should be at least two representatives from your club at the retreat, but all leaders are encouraged to attend. We will be going over important dates, calendaring, going through the new space details, and talking about the upcoming semester and officer transition.
Please RSVP Sam Shapses at samantha.shapses@nyu.edu to let her know that you will be attending.
Also, for those of you who are not on the GSC club leaders list serve yet, be sure to sign up!
How to subscribe/unsubscribe to NYU Listservs:
1. From your NYUHome screen, select the Lists channel.
2. Click on the link Browse and Subscribe to an NYU List.
3. A browse window will open. Look for gsc-clubleaders.
4. To subscribe the mailing list, click on the checkbox next to the list’s name. Mailing lists which are designated “private” will require approval from the list’s owner before your subscription is valid.
5. Click on the Subscribe button when finished.
6. Your subscription will take effect within 24 hours.

Hello everyone,
There is going to be no GSC Meeting today, but there will be a meeting next Monday, from 5-6pm, in Kimmel 910. This is the mid-semester meeting and attendance is mandatory (for those who are available on Mondays) for all clubleaders. Also, please pass this message on to your listserves. We’ll be discussing the Winter Chill and planning out events for the rest of the semester.
As of yet, here are the remaining General Meeting dates:
November: 26, 30
December: 10
January: 28
February: 11, 29
March: 10, 24, 28
April: 7, 18
All Monday dates are in Kimmel 910 from 5-6pm, and all Friday dates are at 10 Washington Pl room 103 from 4-6pm.
